What does Quove stand for ?

Q uality - speaks for itself really.

 

U nified service - our experience with larger firms of accountants shows that the work for clients is divided up around many different people with no-one seeming to have ownership or responsibility. We don't do this.

Who are Quove ?

Our principal is Adrian Mole, a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser with over twenty years experience.

 

Adrian was a successful partner with a well respected Suffolk based firm, prior to being headhunted into an East Anglian office of a National top 10 firm as tax partner.

 

After two years there he was again headhunted, this time into the London office of a rival top 10 firm where he was the partner in charge of owner managed business tax and private client tax.

 

Adrian is a published writer in professional tax journals and is a respected speaker - both in terms of tax technical lectures aimed at other practitioners and to the less technical audience.

 

Fed up with the National Express commuter route from Suffolk to London, and disillusioned with the way that larger firms operate, in early 2010 Adrian broke away to set up Quove.

 

What do we offer ?

We offer accountancy and tax services to the individual and owner managed business community.

 

The tax services are both compliance focused - eg preparation of tax returns, and advisory, eg capital gains tax planning on business exit, inheritance tax planning etc.

 

What do we promise ?

We promise the following:-

 

- the person you meet will be the person who does the work. This doesn't often happen in larger firms

 

- we will agree a fee with you for agreed work and stick to it. No excuses, no exceptions.

 

- we will agree a timetable with you and stick to it. No excuses, no exceptions.

 

- we will only take on work if we can do it - both technically and within the timeframe you want.

 

- we won't do gimmicks. You won't find any Quove golfballs lying around, we don’t do social media and you'll notice this website is simple and to the point.

 

- we will keep at the cutting edge where it matters. For example, we've invested heavily in IT systems where service delivery counts, including market leading tax and accounting software.

 

What are we looking for in a client ?

We act for a small number of select clients where we can make a difference to them.  

 

This might be through improving financial information, improving understanding of the finances, lowering their tax bills or making their tax bills more transparent.

 

We also believe in giving clients plenty of notice of their tax bills - we know you hate being told in January, just after the Christmas excess that you have an unexpected bill.
